Dinosaur Run : Improving and Expanding

It's been a while since my last post, but I've been working hard - a LOT has changed. The art side of things has come along a lot, as has the core gameplay mechanics.

Progress :

    • Footstep sounds.
    • Destruction sounds.
    • High score sound.
    • 90s style adventure music akin to Crash Bandicoot.

  • Dinosaur Model.
  • Place-holder character.
  • Floor Piece models: Updated Textures.
  • Terrain Modelled and Textured.
  • Water added.
  • Large obstacles added
  • Mud traps added
  • Sonic-style banana mechanics to reduce frustration and reinforce learning from mistakes.
  • Particle effects added to banana pick-ups.
  • Particle effects added to losing bananas.
  • Destructible meshes - break when dinosaur steps on them.
  • Improved movement system.
  • Double Jump mechanic.
  • Improved Sky.
  • Fixed:
    • Collision detection when moving between lanes.
    • Ability to cheat / spam keys.
    • Replaced Event Ticks with Delta Time.

To Do:

  • Save Game system
  • Procedurally generate content
